Step 1: Obtain Twitter API Key and Secret
To start, you need to create a project in the Twitter Developer Portal to obtain your API Key and Secret.
There you can follow these steps to create your app:
- Visit the Twitter Developer Portal and sign in with your Twitter account.
- On the dashboard page Click “Add App”
- Fill in a App name
- Copy the API Key and Secret and keep them for later use
- Click “Set up” on the “App details” page
- Fill in the form and make sure to:
- Check “Read”
- Check “Request email from users”
- As “Type of App” check “Web App, Automated App or Bot”
- Fill in “Callback URI / Redirect URI” with: https://domain.com/auth/twitter/callback
- Fill in “Website URL with: https://domain.com/
- Fill in a terms of service link, unless it’s for production use it can be any URL, even non-existent, like: https://my-course.co/page/terms-conditions
- Fill in a privacy policy link, unless it’s for production use it can be any URL, even non-existent, like: https://my-course.co/page/privacy-policy
- Save your settings

Step 2: Activate Twitter Authentication from the Admin Panel
